Members of the cast and crew of Billy Elliott presented a check to the Oconomowoc Food Pantry in the amount of $1161.80. This represents the amount that was raised as “miners” went out into the audience and lobby during intermission of the five shows and collected donations during all performances of Billy Elliot at the OAC. This cash donation is in addition to a recent donation of more than 1,500 pounds of food that the cast worked to donate to the pantry during the annual Trick-Or-Treat-So-Kids-Can-Eat program in October!
Students received a behind-the-scenes tour of the Food Pantry from long-time volunteers Lois and Bill Jackson.
We are so proud of our students for their excellence on the stage and in the classroom, and for how hard they work to help give back to our community. And, we are grateful for our supportive and generous community in Oconomowoc! Way to go! #oconpride #oconomowoc
