The Oconomowoc Area School District School Board and Administration have been engaged together in planning for school in the fall. Our priorities are to provide the best possible learning situation in the safest manner possible and do so in a way that responds to the varied needs and desires of our school community.
Because guidelines and health conditions continue to change and may influence how school will look in the fall, we are currently planning for several possibilities. We know that some OASD families want their children to return to school full-time. We also understand that some families feel the health risk of returning to school "as normal" is too high. We don't know how many people fit into those categories and how strong the level of need/concern is.
As a result, we are asking all OASD families to complete a survey about their preference for returning to school next fall. On June 12, this survey was emailed to all families with a child enrolled in the OASD for the 2020-21 school year. Families should fill out this survey for each child as options will vary by age. The survey will remain open until June 19, 2020.
The input of our District families is important and will help guide our decision-making and better prepare for the start of the 2020-21 school year. Thank you for your support during these past three months of remote learning. We will continue to get through this together!
