Greetings OASD Staff, Families, and Community,
I am truly honored and humbled to be selected as the Interim Superintendent for the Oconomowoc Area School District. I thank the Board of Education for a rigorous and thorough interview process and for trusting me to continue our important work outlined in the district strategic plan. A clear priority will be to ensure the successful implementation of this plan. I look forward to partnering with my colleagues, students, families, and community members to continue our relentless pursuit to be unrivaled in student success and be the district of choice for our resident students.
While the Interim Superintendent position is for one year, I have been a committed staff member on the district leadership team for three years and will continue to lead as a team member by returning to the human resources position when the new permanent superintendent is on board. Therefore, I am highly invested in the success of our organization as measured by student achievement and well-being, fiscal health, employee engagement, and community satisfaction. I have been privileged to lead and learn alongside Dr. Rindo, the leadership team he has assembled, and our excellent teachers and staff. I hope my leadership will continue and build upon that good work.
My background in teaching, learning, and leadership has helped me develop a passion to pursue excellence for each, and every student we serve. I believe each student must be seen, understood, and supported in ways that respect their individual needs and that every student deserves our best work every day. I am committed to the kind of leadership and problem solving that happens when people listen to one another and seek to understand a common vision for success that puts students in the forefront. I know that close collaboration is the only way to engage in the important discussions and decision making that will lead to further excellence for our students, increased pathways for post high school success, and increased pride in our schools.
My husband is retiring from his career in education and as a Principal in West Allis and my daughter will be entering her sophomore year in high school. Together, our family understands the time and commitment that the Interim Superintendent role demands, and we gladly commit our all to the Oconomowoc community as we continue our work and successfully transition to a new superintendent.
I want to thank our parents, community, staff, and School Board for the persistent pursuit and support of our students' success, excellent schools, and a district that brings high value and makes the community proud. I look forward to having more of our parents and community engaged in our work and know that together we will be the unrivaled district our students and community expect.
